US CDC Liberia Portfolio Review Workshop 2022

The United States Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (US CDC) in Liberia organized a two-day workshop to examine her strategic support to the Government and People of Liberia in the area of Global Health Security. The workshop was attended by high-ranking officials of the Government of Liberia in the Ministry of Health, National Public Health Institute of Liberia, as well as Heads of the various Implementing Partners in Liberia and across the world. The workshop held on July 27 and 28, 2022 at the Royal Grand Hotel, Monrovia. The workshop reviewed the National Action Plan for Health Security (NAPHS) review report, the self-assessment report, and the latest joint external evaluation score. The Workshop reviewed the strategic support to Liberia’s health system in previous years and the existing gaps and strategized on areas of interest by the Liberian government and possible support of US CDC through her implementing partners. The implementing partners present were AFENET Liberia, World Health Organization, American Society for Microbiology, American Society for Laboratory Medicine, Applied Public Health Laboratories, JHPIEGO, and Riders for Health.
